W32.Lovgate.AD@mm is a mass-mailing worm that spreads using the Microsoft Windows DCOM RPC Interface Buffer Overrun Vulnerability (described in
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-026), and through open network shares. The email has a variable subject and attachment. The attachment will have a .bat, .exe, .pif, or .scr file extension.
The worm infects executable files and allows unauthorized remote access to an infected computer.
