Behavior
Adware.CWSAlfasearch changes the Microsoft Internet Explorer search page and start page settings and adds a number of adult-oriented shortcuts to the Favorites folder. It also modifies the hosts file to redirect searches to specified Web sites.
Symptoms
One or more files are detected as Adware.CWSAlfaSearch.
Transmission
This adware can be installed manually, through security exploits, or by ActiveX downloaders.
