Adware.BBSee is a program that displays advertisements.

When it is executed it creates the following registry subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\BBsee
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BBsee
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\[CHINESE CHARACTERS]\BBsee

These registry subkeys are created by the adware, but are associated with nonmalicious components:

The adware also creates these registry entries but are associated with nonmalicious components:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDLLs\%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\"RealMediaSplitter.ax" = "1"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDLLs\%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\"VNPlug.ocx" = "1"
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Media\WMSDK\General\"UniqueID" = "[RANDOM CLSID]"
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Media\WMSDK\General\"ComputerName" = "COMPUTER NAME"
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Media\WMSDK\General\"VolumeSerialNumber" = [VOLUME SERIAL NUMBER]

The adware also creates the following entry so that it runs when Windows starts:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\"NetVideoNews" = "%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\BBsee.exe"

The adware then creates the following files:
%UserProfile\Desktop%\BBsee.lnk
%UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Media\9.0\WMSDKNSD.XML (non-malicious component)
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\Base.b10
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\BBsee.exe

%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\setup.ico
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\sysconfig.xml
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\UnInstall.exe
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\UnInstallEx.exe
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\UpdateConfig.xml
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\Ver.txt
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\VNPlug.ocx (non-malicious component)
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\vtPatcher.sys (non-malicious component)
%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\BBsee\BBsee.lnk

The adware will also create the following folders that are used to store downloaded or configuration data:
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\data
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\skins
%ProgramFiles%\BBsee\video

When Adware.BBSee is installed it runs in the background and has a "B" icon in the system tray. The application interface can be shown by clicking on the tray icon, and then various news and advertisements are shown in the application. It will also periodically display some advertisement messages, even if the application interface is not visible. Advertisements and news are downloaded periodically. The application may continuously produce error messages, rendering the computer unusable.
