Adware.AdvertMen is an adware program that downloads and displays popup advertisements.

The risk creates the following registry subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\"AppInit_DLLs" = "pushow82.dll"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\"UninstallString" = "rundll32 %System%\pushow[RANDOM].dll uninstall"
where [RANDOM] is one or two random digits.


The risk then creates the file %System%\pushow[RANDOM].dll
where [RANDOM] is one or two random digits.

The risk connects to http://advertismen.com

The risk can display links to Internet tools and Internet pages in Windows browsers.
