Backdoor.Daserf is a Trojan horse that opens a back door on the compromised computer.

The Trojan is reportedly dropped by a .doc file that exploits the Microsoft Word Unspecified Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (as described in Bugtraq ID 18307). This file is detected as Trojan.Mdropper.
