What changes need to be made to a remote PXE server when the IP address of the server has changed?

Answer
Necessary updates when the remote PXE server has changed its IP address:

  1. The default.cfg file on the Deployment Server will need to be updated to reflect the new IP address of the remote PXE server.
  2. On the remote PXE server, the PXE.ini file needs to reflect the current IP address. However, this file is updated from the Deployment Server. In order for the PXE.ini file to reflect the new IP address, the Deployment Solution server will need to have the PXEManager.ini file updated with the correct IP address for the remote PXE server and the Altiris PXE Manager service restarted. (Stop the Altiris PXE Manager service before attempting this change.)
