File permissions query incorrectly reports users or groups in results

Permissions query shows that users or groups have rights to a directory, but when viewing the properties of the directory in Windows Explorer the users or groups are not listed.
Following are a list of symptoms:
- The query uses the Security: File System (Effective) data source.
- Effective rights in the query results show users or groups that have rights to a directory.
- The users or groups are not listed in the directory properties when viewed using Windows Explorer.
Add additional fields to the query to help understand the query results.
Right-click the query binder, then click Settings > Query Definition.
On the Field Specification tab, add the following three additional fields:
Permission (Specific): Take Ownership
On the Scope ab, add "Analysis Options" to the scope.
Select the radio button "Security Descriptor plus Backup, Restore, and Take Ownership Privileges" or "Local and Network Analysis".
Run the query again.
View the fields that are listed in Step 2 to help understand the original results.
