I am migrating Symantec Mail Security for Exchange (SMSMSE) to another Exchange server, or I am setting up a new Exchange server in my organization. Can I use the same SLF license file to register the product on my new server?
One of the following applies to you:
- You would like to have multiple Exchange servers running in your organization with SMS for Exchange installed.
- You have deployed a new Exchange server, and wish to test SMS for Exchange on the new server before decommissioning the old server.
The same SLF license file can be installed in SMS for Exchange on multiple Exchange servers within your organization.
Symantec's licensing for SMS for Exchange works on a per-seat basis and not per-server, meaning that you can have as many servers with SMS for Exchange installed as you like within your organization, providing that your license covers the number of seats you have.
