Issue



DUPLICATE OF 175955

You installed Symantec Mail Security 6.5.x for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE 6.5.x) and attempt to run a manual or scheduled scan on selected mailboxes and/or Public folders. However, you do not see some or all of your mailboxes or public folders in the selection list.


Environment



Microsoft Exchange server 2007 or 2010

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or 2008 64bit server

Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange 6.5.x


Cause



 The default interval for refreshing list of mailboxes or public folders within SMSMSE 6.5.x is set to 240 minutes.


Solution



DUPLICATE OF 175955

This value is configurable in the registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Symantec\SMSMSE\6.5\Server\RefreshListTimeInMinutes

Change the default value (240) to a smaller value to check for new mailboxes or public folders more often.

Once this value is saved, restart Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange  service to take the effect.
