Description: Unspecified Dataloader SQL Exception encountered for inventory data class 7aec2008-e013-41ea-a01d-dbfd41244055. (SQL Exception Number: 50000)

( Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Invalid column value 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000, table 'Symantec_CMDB.dbo.ResourceUpdateSummary'; empty GUIDs are not allowed.

Environment

Symantec Management Platform 7.0 SP5, and also 7.1 SPx

Cause

This is generally caused by a solution assigning a task to a default guid of 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000

Solution

Please backup your Symantec_CMDB before proceeding.

******************
Run the following SQL query

delete from taskinstances
where resourceguid = '00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000'

This will clean up the symptom of the problem. Next run the attached SQL to update a stored procedure to prevent it from happening again.
