  • Resolved an issue that prevented users from accessing the PGP BootGuard screen to authenticate Windows systems. [28338]

  • Resolved the issue during re-enrollment of PGP Desktop for Windows if the user cancels out of the enrollment process. [27388]
  • Resolved an issue where PGP Desktop for Windows would not work if the My Documents folder had been moved to a custom location. [26172]

PGP Keys

  • PGP Desktop now searches keys using case-insensitive search (this reverts the search function to the default behavior in PGP Desktop prior to the version 10.0 release). [26791]

PGP Messaging 

  • When configuring a secure SMTP messaging service in PGP Desktop, STARTTLS now works properly for secure transmission of login credentials. [26399]
  • PGP Messaging is now properly disabled if the PGP Desktop for Mac OS X license does not permit this functionality. [26679]
  • Improvements made in PGP Desktop for detecting the offline status of PGP Universal Server. [25940]
  • Improvements made to smart card/token handling when the user's PIN is not required to send email. [25139]
  • When PGP Desktop is installed on PGP Desktop for Windows systems running Symantec Enterprise Vault Client, all email messages in the Microsoft Office Draft folder are no longer sent when replying to or forwarding an archived email message. [24974]
  • Resolved an issue where the PGP MAPI Proxy in PGP Desktop for Windows would fail to decode messages when Symantec Enterprise Vault 2007 was also installed on the system. [25490]
  • An incompatibility issue with Symantec Endpoint Protection has been resolved in PGP Desktop for Windows when connecting to proxy mail from a POP3 server that does not support TLS. [27094]
  • PGP Desktop has improved support for preserving file names that include incorrectly encoded spaces. [26653]
  • Resolved an issue in PGP Desktop where signed S/MIME email messages from Microsoft Entourage on Mac OS X were decrypted with bad signature. [27299]
  • PGP Desktop can now decrypt emails that are sent using Hushmail from Hush Communications. [26485]
  • If an email message is bounced because encryption keys are not found for some recipients, and the advanced preference is set to show keys not found, PGP Desktop will display the SMTP email addresses for these recipients in the non-delivery receipt message. PGP NetShare 

  • Improved the overall performance of PGP NetShare. [26099, 26312]
  • PGP NetShare DLLs will no longer be registered in the system if the PGP_INSTALL_NETSHARE=0 option is used in the command line using msiexec.exe to install PGP Desktop. [23267]
  • Enhanced PGP NetShare encryption operations so that they no longer entirely abort when encountering common errors. [26129]
  • Resolved the issue where saving Microsoft Office documents to a remote PGP NetShare-protected share could cause the Office application to hang. [26314]
  • Added support for a Windows Registry DWORD value that will disable DFS path matching in PGP NetShare encrypted DFS file shares. To disable DFS path matching, add the following registry DWORD and set the value to 0: [26965] \\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PGP Corporation\PGP\NetShareDfsMatching
  • On Microsoft Windows 7 systems, you can now run an executable program located in a PGP NetShare-protected directory on a remote server. [25525] VResolved an issue in PGP NetShare where saving large PGP NetShare-protected Microsoft Office files (5MB or larger) caused Office programs to stop responding. [28257]
  • PGP NetShare no longer fails with bad parameters when protecting files using UNC paths on Windows XP or Windows 2003 systems that are running French, German, or Spanish operating systems. [28293]
  • On Windows 7 systems, when accessing remote protected files that have been made available offline, PGP NetShare no longer displays a message that the file is corrupt and cannot be opened. [26884]
  • PGP NetShare on Microsoft Windows 7 systems no longer corrupts Microsoft Access 2007 databases when located on network shares. [28369]
  • Resolved the issue with PGP NetShare when at least one Microsoft Windows 7 client with write access is accessing a shared Microsoft Access database which is also being accessed by other clients concurrently. [27252]

PGP Portable 

  • PGP Portable creation no longer fails when the next available drive letter is in use. [25667]
  • Resolved an issue in PGP Portable where copying large directories containing multiple files and folders could fail if a certain specific file name creation pattern was used. [26229]
  • Resolved an issue with PGP Portable where data beyond 4GB could be read or written when accessing the PGP Portable disk. [26943]

PGP Viewer 

  • If you are using a new installation of Thunderbird version 3, PGP Viewer now successfully copies messages to the Inbox if an Inbox folder does not exist. The Inbox folder now is created automatically for new installations of Thunderbird. [25604]
  • PGP Viewer can now successfully open and decrypt .gpg messages. [25885]

PGP Virtual Disk 

  • PGP Virtual disks created using PGP Desktop for Windows are now mounted correctly with PGP Desktop for Mac OSX. [27097]

PGP Whole Disk Encryption 

  • Resolved the issue so that PGP Desktop no longer installs the PGP WDE driver if PGP WDE is specifically omitted when using the msiexec.exe command to install PGP Desktop for Windows. [26989]
  • Resolved issues with occasional issues when PGP WDE on Windows 7 64 bit systems did not properly resume from hibernation. [27001, 27634]
  • Resolved incompatibility issues with IBM ThinkVantage Fingerprint software. [21036]
  • Resolved an interoperability issue with many backup utilities, including Iron Mountain Connected Backup/PC Agent, where backups would fail on PGP WDE-encrypted disks. [26024]
  • Resolved the issue where PGP WDE-encrypted systems with multiple CPUs would encounter a blue screen error when under heavy load. [27027]
  • Resolved incompatibility issues with Hewlett-Packard systems using the Insyde BIOS. [26112]
  • Resolved the issue when Windows failed to load properly when booting to the Windows partition after upgrading to PGP Desktop for Mac OS X version 10.0.2 with Apple Boot Camp installed. [26871]
  • Recovery partitions are no longer reported as unencrypted partitions to PGP Universal Server. [26662]
  • Re-enrolling when local self recovery is disabled by policy no longer causes PGP WDE SSO to fail. [27092]
  • Resolved the issues with PGP WDE so users with roaming profiles can authenticate at PGP BootGuard on multiple systems. [27561]
  • Resolved the issue with PGP Desktop for Mac OS X so that Macintosh computers can now enter sleep mode when idle. [25691]

  • Resolved an issue in PGP WDE Local Self Recovery where empty answers would be accepted on secondary encrypted systems. [27783]
  • Resolved an incompatibility between PGP Desktop for Windows version 10.0 and BeCrypt software. [26982]

  • Resolved the issue where certain Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems (using the Intel 8/9/10 R chipset) and custom power settings displayed a blinking cursor when resuming the system. [28220]
  • Worked around BIOS implementation problems when SATA mode is set to AHCI on some laptops, such as the Dell E4xxx/E5xxx series, so that PGP WDE no longer displays a blinking cursor at PGP BootGuard. [26707]
  • PGP WDE no longer displays a blue screen error when logging in to PGP BootGuard as a single sign-on user. This issue occurred on some laptops that have Intel GMA (graphics accelerator) or Symantec anti-virus drivers installed. [27264]
  • Resolved an issue where a user who had previously enrolled on a Microsoft Windows XP system and created local self recovery questions could not recover the disk when also enrolled on a Microsoft Windows 7 system. [28190]
