The Netbackup Enterprise Media Manager service starts, then stops immediately.

Configure the logs for nbemm service using the following command:

C:\Program Files\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin>vxlogcfg.cmd -a -p 51216 -o 111 -s DebugLevel=6 -s DiagnosticLevel=6
 
Restart the NetBackup services then run the following command to collect the logs for the last 5 minutes :
 
C:\Program Files\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin>vxlogview -o 111 -t 00:05:00

Reset the log verbosity for nbemm using the following command:

C:\Program Files\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin>vxlogcfg.cmd -a -p 51216 -o 111 -s DebugLevel=1 -s DiagnosticLevel=6

Solution



The below command resolves the issue:

C:\Program Files\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin>nbdb_upgrade.exe -dbn NBDB

 
Verifying the running version of NBDB ...
NBDB version 7.1.0.0 verified.
Upgrading NBDB (7.1.0.0) to (7.1.0.1) ...
Upgrading NBDB (7.1.0.1) to (7.1.0.2) ...
Upgrading NBDB (7.1.0.2) to (7.1.0.3) ...
Re-verification of NBDB at new version, 7.1.0.3
Verification succeeded.
Successfully upgraded NBDB to version 7.1.0.3
Database [NBDB] validation successful.
