EMC have reported that the number of reserved connections to Centera are too high and have suggested these be reduced.

EMC have referenced the FP_OPTION_MAXCONNECTIONS setting but where in Enterprise Vault can this be configured

Environment

Enterprise Vault 9

Centera

Solution

The number of connections to a Centera reserved by Enterprise Vault can be altered by accessing the Advanced tab of the Storage Service.

The number of reserved connections reported by Centera will be equal to the number of Archive processes, Restore processes and Restore threads per process.  You should be aware that if you have a number of Enterprise Vault servers connecting to a Centera the total number of reserved connections will be sum of all of the above from the storage services on all the Enterprise Vault servers/
