There is a need to know how the settings of Bounce Customization influence NDR/bounce emails sent by SMG.

Bounce Customization enables administrators of SMG to customize return postmaster address. This feature only influences address entered in the message body, it has no effect on "From:" field displayed in bounce email, which is hardcoded in the form of Mailer-Daemon@hostname. This works as designed.

Here the example of bounce message generated by SMG:

-------- Message --------

Subject: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender
Date: Wed, 05 Dec 2012 13:19:13 +0000
From: Mailer-Daemon@mail01.testmail.com (Mail Delivery System)
To: sender@mailtst.com

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster>

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

<test@testmail.com>: 550 5.1.1 <test@testmail.com>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table

-------- End of the Message --------

Do notice <postmaster> entry in message body, this is the field modifiable by Bounce Customization.
