The Symantec Critical System Protection 5.2 RU9 MP2 Agent caused a system crash on busy network application servers such as Windows Domain Controllers, pointing to SISIPSNetfilter.sys.This requires a process to exit or a port to unbind at the same time when the process has a network connection in progress, triggering a condition where the SCSP driver component tries to free a memory location that has already been released, which results in a system crash.
Affected operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012
