Duplications from MSDP to PDDO fail with a Status 191

Duplications which originate from a 126.96.36.199 MSDP (media server deduplication pool) storage server and write to a target which is a three node or greater PDDO (PureDisk deduplication option) storage pool fail with a Status 191. The Replication.log shows a 99: Error sending data: only sent -1 of 16384 bytes: broken pipe message.

The session logs will also show the following error:

The specific session log will be found under logs/spoold/<MSDP pool host>/spad/Receive/.
NetBackup 184.108.40.206 or NetBackup Appliance 220.127.116.11 with MSDP duplicating or replicating to any PDDO storage pool with three or more nodes. This issue will impact Automatic Image Replication replications as well.
The problem occurs due to incorrectly determining the number of content routers in the destination pool.

Symantec Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue (Etrack 3452056) is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. This issue was scheduled to be addressed in the following release(s):
- NetBackup 7.6 Maintenance Update 2 (18.104.22.168)
- NetBackup Appliances 22.214.171.124

Apply the appropriate hotfix attached to this document.
Note: These hotfix is no longer publicly available, as all of their fixes are included in the NetBackup 126.96.36.199 and NetBackup Appliances 188.8.131.52 maintenance releases. If this issue is experienced, the supported resolution is to apply the latest maintenance release.
