Issue

You want to change the order of the High Availability nodes in a 2-node cluster so that the other Symantec Traffic Shaper (STS) is the Primary node of the cluster. When you change the configuration in the User Interface (UI) of each STS appliance, the STS appliances don't appear to implement the change.

Solution

  1. On the Traffic Shaper that is currently configured as the Primary node, set the Traffic Shaper to be the Secondary node.
  2. Reboot to force the Traffic Shaper to load the new configuration.
  3. On the Traffic Shaper that is originally configured as the Secondary node, set the traffic Shaper to be the Primary node.
  4. Reboot to force the Traffic Shaper to load the new configuration.
