Issue



Symantec Mobile Security will not enroll if there is an “&” symbol in the password.


Error



Enrollment failed. Check the user name and password.


Environment



Symantec Mobile Security 


Cause



Use of the “&” symbol is not supported for Mobile Security.


Solution



The following symbols were successfully tested for passwords: !, @, #, $, %, ^, *, (, ), and ?

 
If other symbols are requested, the Admin can create a new user and test it by putting that symbol into the password.
