Prior to the release of Cumulative Patches (CP's), most hotfixes required contacting Symantec Technical Services. Depending on the issue that is being experienced, the requirement for interaction can increase downtime or delay the movement of servers into a production environment.
CP5 has been released for Storage Foundation High Availability for Windows (SFW-HA), Storage Foundation for Windows (SFW) and Cluster Server for Windows (VCS) 6.0.1. CP5 is available to download from the Symantec Operations Readiness Tools (SORT) https://sort.symantec.com/ and can be used to install the fixes for the issues described in the Readme included with download and listed as Etrack incidents below.
The CPs available on SORT are:
- SFW-HA 6.0.1 which includes fixes to all options for SFW and VCS (e.g. Volume Replicator (VVR), FlashSnap, VCS Agents / Resources, Configuration Wizards, GCO, etc.). This does not include any SFW options specific to Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS) or Windows Failover Cluster (WFOC).
- SFW 6.0.1 which includes fixes to all options for SFW (e.g. VVR, FlashSnap, MSCS / WFOC, etc.).
- VCS 6.0.1 which includes fixes to all options for VCS (VCS Agents / Resources, GCO, Configuration Wizards, GCO, etc.).
Please note that the CPs do not include updates to DMP. Updates to DMP will be provided via Quarterly Device Driver Installation (DDI) Packages. Please refer to article TECH155178, http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH155178 , for a list of DDI packages and their related articles.
