When installing via command line, please remember to use the x86 installer for x86 operating systems and the x64 installer for x64 operating systems. The x86 installer can be found in the D:\SSR\SSR32 and the x64 installer can be found in the D:\SSR\SSRX64 folder on the SSR 2013 installation cd. All switches can be used with either installer. 
Symantec System Recovery 2013 – Silent Install Command Line Options for the SETUP.EXE
/DEST:                   Allows for redirected installation to a different folder
/S:                          Performs a silent install
/BOOT:                 Initiates an automatic reboot during a silent install or uninstall
/SERVICE:            Installs the primary service that is required to back up or recover your computer
/CONSOLE:         Installs the product user interface required for interacting with SSR service
/GRO:                   Installs Granular Restore Option
/AGENT:              Allows this computer to deploy the SSR Agent to other computers for remote management
/BROWSER:        Enables browse, mount, copy, verify, and restore of files and folders from recovery points
/CD:                       Required for backing up files directly to CD/DVD and for creating custom SRDs
/LIVEUPDATE:   Installs LiveUpdate and registers SSR 2013 with it
/SAVEDATA:1    Retains backup jobs and histories related to SSR 2013 during uninstallation
/SAVEDATA:0    Removes backup jobs and histories related to SSR 2013 during uninstallation
/DISABLETELEMETRY:     Disables the option to send SSR 2013 usage data to Symantec over the web
/SSRMS:               /SSRMS:1. Determine whether SSR 2013 is managed using SSR-MS
/UNINSTALL:      Uninstalls SSR 2013
NOTE: /SAVEDATA: If no parameter is passed, by default, the user jobs and history is retained.

Installs: Agent Only:
Setup.exe /SERVICE: /BOOT:
Installs: User interface, agent, recovery point browser, LiveUpdate, cd/dvd support with automatic reboot upon installation:
Setup.exe /SERVICE: /CONSOLE: /GRO: /AGENT: /BROWSER: /CD: /LIVEUPDATE: /BOOT:
Installs: Silent uninstall with automatic reboot and preserving backup job or history information
Setup.exe /UNINSTALL: /S: /BOOT: /SAVEDATA:1
Installs: installation of SSR 2013 to a non-standard installation folder with all features
Setup.exe /DEST:C:\new_folder /SERVICE: /CONSOLE: /AGENT: /GRO: /BROWSER: /CD: /LIVEUPDATE:
 
By default the installation logs are directed to:
%Allusersprofile%\Application Data\Symantec\SYMANTEC SYSTEM RECOVERY\LOGS\SSRINST.HTM

%programdata% \Symantec\SYMANTEC SYSTEM RECOVERY\LOGS\SSRINST.HTM

The following switches can be passed to SETUP.EXE:
/s
  • Instructs the installation to be silent.
/v"parameters"
  • This is a required switch for passing Windows Installer (MSI) parameters through SETUP.EXE to the Windows Installer.
  • The following are parameters that can be passed to MSI:
  • "REBOOT=ReallySuppress"
  • Prevents the installation from automatically rebooting the server upon completion.
  • /qn
  • Instructs the installer to perform a Quiet, No user interface install.
  • /l*v
  • Path and filename of install log file.
  • Example: /l*v"C:\temp\BESRInstallLogFile.log"
  • SYMINSTALLDIR
  • Is used for overriding the default installation location.
  • AddLocal
  • Specifies which of the following client components to install:
  • Console
  • BESR User Interface.
  • This is an optional component.
  • Push
  • Agent Deployment Option, which allows for Remote Agent deployment to be performed from a BESR Client.
  • This is an optional component.
  • Agent
  • Main BESR Service.
  • This is a required component.
  • Gear
  • CD/DVD writing support.
  • This is an optional component.
  • Shared
  • Required component.
  • Browser
  • Recovery Point Browser.
  • This is an optional component.
  • LiveUpdate
  • Installs the LiveUpdate feature used to install software updates.
  • This is an optional component.
  • BESRConsoleShortCut
  • Installs and creates a Start Menu Program Group shortcut to the Backup Exec System Recovery User Interface.
  • This is required when installing the Console component.
  • BESRSecurityShortCut
  • Installs and creates a Start Menu Program Group shortcut to the Security Configuration Tool.
  • This is optional when installing the Console component.
  • This is required when installing the Agent component.
  • BESRBrowserShortCut
  • Installs and creates a Start Menu Program Group shortcut to the Recovery Point Browser.
  • This is required when installing the Console component.

Installs: Install to a different directory

NOTE:
  • The preceding examples should be one continuous command line without breaks.
  • To determine if the command line parameters are on a single line, use Notepad or WordPad with the Word Wrap feature disabled.
