Hi QuietLeni - I had no issues using the Add User to Share.  Here's my setup.

how is your component configured?  are you using domain admin credentials for the component context credentials?

Dear Symantec,

Do you know why I might be getting "User credentials cannot be used for local connections" from this component when running the Service Desk Request Access to Network Share Self-Service Workflow?

2014-09-18_15h18_01.png

I have set up everything that I think that I need, such as:

  1. A share on the server.
  2. A Shared Folder in Active Directory Users and Computer with a Share Manager in AD (who is in Workflow AD Sync).
  3. A User who has a Manager in AD (who is in Workflow AD Sync).
  4. Three AD Security Groups, one with Read-only, one with Read-Change and one with Read-Change-Full access to the aforementioned share.

I cannot see what else I need to do and there is no documentation that says what is required.

Kindest regards,

QuietLeni
