SEPprep

SEPprep is a unsupported tool that is designed to uninstall any competitive product automatically. This tool can also launch another application before or after removing all competitive products.  Therefore you can configure this tool to first remove all competitive products (including Norton products) and then launch the SEP installer automatically and silently.  SEPprep works on all supported Windows SEP client operating systems (both 32-bit and 64-bit). There are two different binaries: one for 32-bit systems and one for 64-bit systems.

It was there with 12.1.4

Starting with SEP 12.1 RU5 we will include CleanWipe on the SEP DVD.  You will not need to open a case to get it.

And my question is?

Why you Symantec can´t upload the cleanwipe utility until we open a case thats not fair.

Hope you change that policy and share that tool please.

Thank you guys.

Y mi pregunta es?

¿Por qué Symantec no puede cargar la utilidad cleanwipe hasta que abramos un caso eso no es justo.

Espero que cambien esa política y compartan la herramienta por favor.

Gracias chicos.

Exactly is, I am curious to know it as well.

Pretty neat.  Sounds like it's the tool that's used by the SEP installer during a SEPM package deployment.  If so, is there by chance a place where the list of competitive products (and versions tested) can be found?  From the Symantec webcasts I've been to, it sounds like it's an ever growing list.

Just curious.  Thanks!

Wow, thanks for sharing this great tool Chris,

I didn't know about this tool before :-) I've been using CleanWipe but not this one.
