Ghost Solution Suite

This article documents how to permanately add switches to Ghost Solution Suite 3.1 so that manual entry can be avoided.
 

1. Stop all Altiris Services
   
   
    
2. Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Altiris\eXpress\Deployment Server\ImageTools.ini", right click and select edit. Scroll down towards the bottom and locate the lines shown below. Add switches that you would like to be included in every create and distribute job.
   
   Save the file and then start the Altiris services.
   
   
    
3. Create a new job for testing and then create a "create image" or "distribute image" task.
   
   
    
4. The switches that were added to the ImageTools.ini file should now automatically be added to the additional parameters string.
