Hi everybody, We installed Brighmail Message Filter before and wanted to help you.Once installed, the mail goes to Brightmail first, then they are forwarded to the mail server. Because of this, we must to configure IIS. First, we create a new SMTP Domain and choose "Allow incoming mail to be relayed to this domain" and give forward mail server ip address, Therefore mail passes from Brightmail and goes to the mail server, where we will continue to send and receive mails. In the IIS right click and choose New > Domain. Choose Remote domain and click "Next" Give a domain name and click "Finish" Now we configure this domain. Rigth Click and choose "Properties" Choose "Allow incoming mail to be relayed to this domain" and give a Forward mail host Ip Address. That's all. Now we can continue to send and receive mails. Thank you. Best Regards. Fatih
Hi Fatih,
We have Exchage 2010 SP1 on Window 2008 R2 SP1 (local IP:x.x.x.244 wich is natted to public IP: x.x.x.194) in router. Now all my incoming mails are directly delivered from ISP mail realy server.
I wanted to test Symantec™ Message Filter 6.3 to filter my incoming mails. I installed this product (Demo 1 Month) on separate server Win2K3 St. R2 (Local IP: x.x.x.200), and configured to get all the updates from symantec server, and it is getting all updates but no mail is routing through this bright mail.
Current scenario
Mail inbound: ISP Relay server->Local router - > Firewall->Exchange Server (IP: x.x.x.244).
Settings->Internal Mail Hosts-> Are all brightmail Scannersat the messagin gateway? (No)
Specify the IP address or hostname of any mail host in your organization that may touch mail before it reaches a Brightmail Scanner. Here addedd the mail server(x.x.x.244)
Please guide me to properly configure this product.
