Hi,
We will see how to remove NTP feature using add/remove programs.
As per screenshot NTP is installed on the machine.
Open Add or Remove Programs.
Select Symantec Endpoint Protection, and then click Change.
- Click Next.
- Select Modify, and click Next.
In SBE we don't have an option to check core components and uninstall them as per requirement.
We have only two options i.e.. Standard Protection & Basic Virus and Spyware Protection
Standard Protection contains all three features.
1) Basic Virus and Spyware Protection
2) Proactive Threat Protection (PTP)
3) Network Threat Protection (NTP)
Basic Virus and Spyware Protection contains only one feature.
1) Virus & Spyware Protection
Now we will have to select Basic Virus and Spyware Protection to uninstall Network Threat Protection (NTP).
Click on Next
Click on next & check mark is "Optional"
Click on install after the installation completes, a restart is required to uninstall Network Threat Protection.
Under SEP GUI Network Threat Protection is no more listed.
To accomplish it on multiple computers you can push the custom package using client deployment wizard or with any other method.
If it's unmanaged client then perform manual steps as suggested above.
I hope it's been informative
