The step by step guide shows the installation of SEE on MAC machines
Make sure FileVault feature on MAC should be turned on first.
The encryption of the disk is done by file vault i.e native MAC encyption tool, only the management would be performed by SEE. Once Installed you can view the MAC machine entry in SEE console.
1. Copy the installer folder and run the installer package.
2. Click “Continue”
3. Next click on install to install the software
4. Enter your administrator password for the computer, then click “Install Software” as shown in below pic
5. After install software, Endpoint Encryption is now installed.
6. After installation, below screen will pop up. Enter admin Username and Password to the computer and then click “Migrate”. We need to migrate because in case you forgot the password, recovery key of encrypted disk is stored into SEE management Server.
7. Once done, go to applications, find “Symantec Endpoint Encryption” and run it you should see the screen as below.
This completes the SEE installation on MAC.
