Symantec Agent fails to install. Error: Install failed. Error message: Failed to run action: InstallCommonDll
Issue:
Symantec Agent installation fails and will throw an error message
In the client machine, check the Symantec Agent logs under C:\Program Data\Symantec\Symantec Agent\Install Logs. Open ‘AEXNSC’ log file and you will see the details as below:

Look for the entry, “%PROGRAM_FILES_COMMON% => C:\windows\Program Files\\Common Files\Altiris” and see if the folder ‘Altiris’ exists in C:\windows\Program Files\\Common Files.
If you don’t see it, create a folder named ‘Altiris’.
Run the installer again and the agent will installs just fine.
