Hello Mick,

That was an Excellent Addup and I highly appreciate to make changes to the Symantec KB Document:

Best Practices documents for Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 on Microsoft Small Business Server

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH104584

Also, Highlighting the Best Practices Document (which was already available on the 11.0.6 DVD)

That would help our Symantec Endpoint Protection Users very much.

Attached is the current “Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 Windows Small Business Server Best Practices White Paper,” which can be found in the Documents folder of the SEP DVD (Best_Practices_SEP11.0.6.pdf). This latest release of the document does not limit itself to any particular version (SBS 2003, SBS 2008, etc) but applies to all versions of Small Business Server.

as mentioned earlier by clowers is the best practices guide applicable to SEP SBS 12.0 as it only mentions version 11?

and if not can you post a link to the appropriate document for installing SEP SBS 12 on Windows 2003 SBS please?

Edited - dumb question, but not used to this type of forum...

I will be upgrading to SBS 2008 but am currently running 2003.  Older versions of your fantastic white paper had a link to download various policies that were written specifically for SBS 2003.  I have recently upgraded to RU5 and am still running the old policies.  Should I be switching to the default policies since there is no longer a link to download SBS policies?  My assumption is that over time you moved the items specific to SBS into the standard policies.

Many Thanks

Hi folks,

A 2008 document is being created, but I just updated the version available here to include "new" info.

Best,

Eric

Please let me know if there is one available.  The 2003 guide was great, but SBS 2008 is so radically different that the '03 guide doesn't cross over at all.

Thanks eh!

Steve

Please add me to the list of technicians who would like to be notified when the updated document is available.

I have also been asked about SEP and SBS2008 so an updated document would be helpful.

Thank you.
