I arrived for the 3rd year to the Moscone Center in the heart of San Francisco for the RSA Conference. Interestingly enough it is like old school where everyone knows everyone. For my past colleagues who have gone to other companies, strangely enough, the information security market remains a VERY small community. My favorite CEO Enrique Salem took a step forward to talk about how security should be expected and how it should be transparent. He defined the world in terms of where we have seamless interaction in our days between personal and business, family and work. Others, however, talked about security focusing on the lowest common denominator, which was a little disappointing. That is yesterday. We all need to do our parts to look forward and not back and how do we evolve as a community to service our customers for today and tomorrow...maybe next year everyone will get on board and get the message.
