Hello Everyone,
SEP 12.1 RU6 (12.1.6168.6000) is now available on Flexnet to download.
Full setup file is of size 675 MB.
Installation and Administration Guide:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC8645
Note: Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU6 does not ship Small Business Edition which reached End of Life (EOL) in May'15. Small Business Edition 12.1 customers can use a tool to migrate to the cloud-based Symantec Endpoint Protection.
This does NOT mean the customer needs to immediately upgrade their product. Customers will be able to renew their on-premises license and continue to use their SBE SEPM’s until 2018.

Does SEP 12.1 RU6 (12.1.6168.6000) supports update from RHEL 6.6 to RHEL 6.9 or RHEL 7.3 or RHEL 7.4?
Couple of weeks back, I have installed 12.1 (RU6 MP1) in our environment. I'm observing that Virus and Spyware definitions for 32 bit for newer revision are getting downlaoded between 07.00 to 08.00 AM but for 64 bit they are not getting downloaded at that time? Can you please tell me why there is a difference in time for download? Has anything been changed in 12.1.6 version?
The latest version, 12.1.6 MP2 support OSX 10.11.
Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 MP2 is now available
OS X compatibility with Endpoint Protection for Mac
What about a Mac install for the new OS 10.11 El Capitan?
It seems you are using Small Business Edition.
The Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.1.x product has reached End-of-life and is set to be replaced by the Hosted (or .Cloud) version of the product.
Note: This does NOT mean the customer needs to immediately upgrade their product. Customers will be able to renew their on-premises license and continue to use their SBE SEPM’s until 2018.
Please be aware of the official announcement in case you haven't received yet.

I have gone onto Flexnet but only RU5 updates appear, There is nothing for RU6.
Where can I get the packages from?

Do you have a date for the EoL and EoS for EPM 12.1.5 ??
Tx
Are you talking about reduced client size defintions?
Check this article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH230274
Hi Chetan,
We had issues with one setup. By default GUP doesn't download full definitions from SEPM 12.1.6 and downloads only delta.
Can you please tell me how to disable this feature so that GUPs can ALSO download full update definition files?
This was new in 12.1.5
The Symantec Management Client (smc.exe) service is no longer listed in Windows Services
Please explain what SEP agent services have changed/renamed when upgrading to SEP12U6 from earlier versions. Also, what has happened to the SMC reg entry with all details??
Thank you ... I thought that was correct but thought I would double check.
No.
For SEP 11, you had to break replication between SEPMs by deleting replication partners before perform a SEPM upgrade. Failure to break replication could result in corrupt databases. SEP 11 replication did not perform version checking. SEP 12.1 and later prevents the need to disable replication prior to upgrade. Starting with SEP 12.1, replication performs version checking, and eliminates cross-version replication corruption.
Note: When you upgrade from SEP 11 to SEP 12.1, you must still break replication.
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH160642
Please clear up some confusion ... when upgrading from 12.1.5 to 12.1.6, does replication have to be broken?
The attachment seems to be missing from the article Symantec™ Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 Getting Started Guide. It says "Click Attachments to open the manual." but there is no link.

The names are similar so that is a bit confusing, but the cloud edition of SEP SBE is a different product. SEP 12.1.6 ('enterprise edition' is not officially part of the name or branding) is unrelated to the SEP SBE cloud version.

Hi Chetan please could you "push" again the admin ? ;)
Do you know if when they upgrade the 12.1.6 version these fix are also deployed to the Cloud version ?
Or are completely different products ?
The Database Schema Guide should now be updated.

If you don't see a last modified date of today, then add a question mark to the end of the URL. This should refresh the cache.
Hi;
it seems that the article about DATABASE Shema is not available !
Still the same shema as the previous version or changes have been made ?
Thanks
Yeah, I have updated community admin already, soon you may see it there. Thanks!
