In response to a question on the Workflow forums for problems with ASDK timeouts i've posted an example to loop through records in an attempt to make the calls smaller. Obviously the size of the call can be tweaked to meet the demands of the workflow and your hardware.
To use the file start a new project and right click on your project name in your project pane on the left side of the screen. Select import model and point it to the file provided.
