This is the compiled driver for Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 Pre-SP3 (Kernel 2.6.18.8) for use with Intel network cards. It has been tested on Dell Optiplex 960 and Dell Optiplex 990 hardware. The driver version is 1.3.17 from Sourceforge. It appears to be based on the official 1.3.10a driver provided by Intel. The Intel provided driver proved to be challenging to compile against the 2.6.18.8 kernel, though it did compile effortlessly on more recent kernels.

Thanks for the post! This works great on my company's new Dell Latitude E6420 model. They shipped with the Intel 82579 Gigabit Ethernet Controller.
We are running DS 6.9 (no service packs) using the 2.6.18.8 kernel.
