Please note, I have 12.1 RU6 SEPM and client, I would like to have 12.1.RU6 MP1A only on clients.

Currently all clients are managed by SEPM 12.1 RU6.

Is it possible to upgrade the client to the latest MP1A version (through SEPM) without upgrading the SEPM?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes it's possible you can import SEP 12.1.RU6 MP1A

    Check this

Manually import client packages into Endpoint Protection Manager

    Hi,

While importing SEP Client packages kindly do the following steps

    1. Navigate to the installation package folder (i.e. SEPM\Packages\ from the Part 1 installation media)
    2. Select both .dat & .info file associated with the installation package (i.e. SAV32.dat / .info, SAV64 .dat / .info, SEP_MAC .dat / .info)
    3. Click Select.
    4. Optionally, provide a description of the package in the Description field.
    5. Click OK to start the import process.
    6. After a successful import, a status window will be displayed.
    7. Click Close to exit the Creating Package dialog.

Note : - While importing any client packages you should select both .dat and .info file.

That did the trick, infact I was able to select only the info file(there is no option to select .dat, select either package, zip or folders). Info file was enough to add the package.

    Thanks a million, imported successfully.
