In both my SBG 8 and SBG 9 gateways, when I run  Reports / E-Mail Messages, Top Sender IP connections, top 5, Outbound, there is a 255.255.255.255 listed.  It can have as much as 40% of the total messages processsed. The only reference to this in the admin guide is as part of net mask discussions.

What does this IP address represent?

Just to be sure I understand, you are seeing outbound email from 255.255.255.255?  It sounds like a routing/masking problem to me.  Since that IP address is not valid (Unroutable) you should NEVER see mail coming from it.  If you search the message audit logs for 255.255.255.255 as the connecting IP do you find anything?

No,  I'm seeing 255.255.255.255 in the Top Sender IP connections report.  I've since found out that there is a defect posted on this and it is due to how SBG reports IP that are in "Internal mail host" IPs during reporting.
