I sometime get "550 5.7.1 message rejected due to content restrictions" on outbound emails.  How can I verify it is not my BGM server, and is actually the recipient email server generating this.

I see the error message in the audit logs under delivery details.

some emails to this domain go through.  None today , but last week they did.

Trace through the message headers to see what the sending MTA.  You can use this tool - http://mxtoolbox.com/EmailHeaders.aspx if you want help parsing them.

If you turn the MTA logging up to debug. the debug log will actually log the protocol transaction for messages its delivering or attempting to deliver.

Another tip, is that "internally generated' SMTP messges (i.e. those generated by the SMG MTA) usually start with the word [internal] in brackets.
