I am having an issue when restoring a hard drive using GSS.  Ghost will complete the clone operation, but sometimes Ghost Walker will crash with the following error message:

ABORT (45001):  ERROR WRITING SECTOR(S) TO DISK 1:  DISK NOT LOCKED

Is there anything that can be done to remedy this, or does it just indicate a bad hard disk?  I've scoured both Google and these forums and have found nothing on this error.

    Thanks!

if you have a bad hard disk, ghost should complain about it when it restore an image.
are you using the console task to run ghost walker or as a standard alone?

    Hello,
we have the nearly the same problems, but with a timeout.

ABORT (45001): Error writing sector(s) to disk 1: Int 13 error: timeout (0x80)

I use ghostwalk from GSS 2.0.1
With a Compaq6715b Notebook with German Vista Business Version 32bit
booting with a IBM-DOS-Bootdisk and alternativly with a Microsoft Security CD-Rom

    The entered command was
    ghstwalk /bv=1:1 /cn="HP<RANDOM_HEX>" /IGNORE_ENCRYPTFILES

(without the IGNORE_ENCRYPTFILES the computer stops responding)

After hours, the old SID will be displayed, and the new one will be created and writing accepted.
Then after hours I get the error message above.

    Can anybody help me?
    Thank you.
    Mike

I changed the sid now with systernals newsid.
Booting with the Microsoft security CD.
That worked with Vista Business and HP/Compaq 6715b.
