  • 1.  Aclient installs with eval license

    Hi,

With our W7 image setupcomplete.cmd installs the aclient. Prior to running sysprep the aclient is removed and the GUID entries in the registry are cleared. That way after the images comes down and the aclient installs it will generate a unique GUID. In the past a regular license would be applied. Now when the computer connects to DS it shows up using an evaluation license. This is how aclient installs:

    c:\altiris\aclient\aclient.inp -silent -install -scriptedinstall

Any ideas as I don't have this issue with an evaluation license being used with other W7 images. I know eventually the regular license will get applied because I have that option checked off under 'Program Options'

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Does this also happen if you use the DAgent instead? We have moved on to the DAgent for Win7 and did not see that happen ever again?

    Hi,

Thanks for reply, but haven't tested with Dagent. Dagent only gets used in this environment when PXE booting to pull down an image.
