Adding files for delivery with a Software Delivery Policy

    Hi All,

I have a question about delivering files with a Software Delivery Policy. I have a software package that I'm going to deliver with a Software Delivery Policy. It will install the software but after that I want to copy 4 configuration files to certain folders after the install. How can I do this as part of the Software Delivery Policy? I basically want three of these files put into a folder where the software is installed and then a file put on the desktop of the All Users Profile. I'm using NS7

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Do you use Managed Software Delivery policy or legacy Software Delivery policy to distribute software?

If you are using Managed Software Delivery policy, then there is an option to launch tasks as part of the SWD policy execution. You can add these 4 configuration files to the package used to install the policy and then add a BAT file which will copy the 4 files to proper locations. This BAT can be executed as part of the MSD policy using a standard "Run Script" task.

    Thanks,
    Andrew.
