  • 1.  Adobe APSB15-05 superseded or not? - 7.5

    Hello,

How do we check if an Adobe patch is superseded or not? I could see a report that gives out details for Windows patches, but nothing for Adobe Patches.

Also, is there a report to compliance of Adobe patches. Again there are reports for Windows / Mac / Linux.. but nothing for Adobe?

Reason I am asking this is, under Compliance by Bulletin in Patch Management home page, I could not see APSB15-05 listed. It was there last month when it was released.

    Thanks

APSB15-06 was released on April 14 and made it into the catalog on April 16.

Not sure if it officially was superseded or not, but like Hightower said, APSB15-06 was released this month.

As far as reports go, you can use the same reports you have likely been using for the Microsoft patch compliance.

If you go to Reports --> Software --> Patch Management --> Compliance --> Windows Compliance by Bulletin you can see the compliance for any bulletin that the system has imported from PMImport. As you can see in the screenshot below there is a "Vendor" drop down where you can select the vendor you wish to look at, in this case Adobe Systems. The same options hold true for other compliance reports.

In addition, if this patch disappearing after being superseded is behavior you would like to avoid in the future, if you to go Home --> Patch Management and then click into the "MetaData Import Task" you can uncheck "Disable all superseded Software Updates".
