We are using DS 6.9 and Rdeploy to distribute images (WinPE 2.0 environment). We haven't switched to ghost yet due to issues with it dying on us when distributing an image. Since redeploy has been working, we've stuck with it.
We've standardized on SSD drives but our offices in the Asia Pacific region haven't been able to afford the jump in price. They are starting to get new HP laptops (2560p, 8460p) with standard 7200rpm drives. After booting for the first time from our deployed image, it fails with the error "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware." Given the only difference is the hard drive, we found these new drives are using the new Advanced Format.
Having read alignment command line switch use in Ghost, has anyone had success getting rdeploy to apply a Windows 7 image on an Advanced Format HDD?
