  • 1.  Alt. DS 6.9 restoring image dualboot XP/Ubuntu10.4

    I have created on an Alriris 6.9 server an image of a PC hard disk containing a dual boot WinXP/Ubuntu10.4
    ssytem (usiing bootloader Grub2 from Ubuntu to choose between WinXP and Ubuntu).
    I can restore the image to a clone PC (a 100% identical PC)
    But when booting the clone, it just starts in Windows, ignoring my Grub2 boot-loader, so I can't select Ubuntu ..
    I can see my WinXP and my Ubuntu partitions using GParted.
    Is the MBR screwed up by Altiris ?
    What's wrong and how to remedy?

    Hello,

    If you're using rdeploy, you can try some command line switches, -forcebf can help.
    The ds 6.9 documentation list all posibilities
