    Posted Aug 03, 2017 08:11 AM

    Hi All,

I am running Altiris 6.9 with WINPE 4. We created a Windows 10 image on the Samsung NVM SSD on A brand new HP 800 G3 all-in-one. The computer works fine, has network etc. When we try to capture the image we get the error "Invalid Source Drive"

I found a Samsung NVM driver and loaded it in Preboot and created a new boot disk but it still fails.

    Anyone else get this issue?

I had a similar problem with T470 Lenovo laptops and had to use WinPE 5.

I'm not sure you'll be able to get the Samsung NVME loaded into WinPE 4 (which is based on Windows 8). The NVME controllers are only natively supported in WinPE10 and whilst you'll get some mileage installing hotfixes into your WiNPE4 wim files, it's a tough road.

I suggest moving to WinPE 10 for imaging if you want instantly functional NVMe support.
