  • 1.  Altiris not pushing software

    Hi, I use altiris 7.1. I have sofware management plugin install that is running at the moment that will install on the clients that does not have it. Only a handfull of the clients that are being installed and I see no failures to suggest that the other clients have some problem. Is there some kind of throtteling that will cause this slow install rate?

    How long did you wait?

    Depending on your configuration it might take up to Membership Update Interval (Default 5 minutes) plus Configuration Update Interval (Default 1 hour).

    Use the Remote Altiris Agent Diagnostics (RAAD) tool to see if the client is picking up the Policy first, then you can troubleshoot from there:

    is these clients pointing to proper regional server? (if it is then whether the regional server has this distribution task available?)

    Did the RAAD tool show if the client picked up the policy. Then you can troubleshoot from there.

    Hi

     

    I found the problem. Altiris did not purge old workstations from the system. I purged the system and all looks ok now.
