In our envorinment NS Server is present and we have configured Package server with Windows server 2003 OS for remote sites. And all package server is working fine,Now systems is formatted and replaced with Windows server 2008 after backup of "Package Delivery" folder from C drive. After formatting we have installed Symantec management agent and package service is configured automatically, we have resored  "Package Delivery" folder as it is.

Now my problem is Same folder automatically created in D: drive. and the folder has 30-40 GB data. i deleted d:\altiris\agent\package Delivery manually but its created automatically again

for your reference..output of net share command.

I think the Package Server Agent will use any drive it can if space on the drive wuith the agent installed starts to run out. Windows Server 2008 alone can use a lot of GB on the C: drive. It's usually best to install the Altiris Agent to the D: drive and use that to store packages.

What drive is your Symantec Management Agent installed on?

If I understand correctly, the agent used to be installed on C:, and now it's on D:?  There are probably remnants of the agent left in the registry from the old install.  If you are moving the locaiton, you must do an agent \clean.  Then re-install.

The Package Server will stage packages on the same drive the agent is installed on.

Uninstall the agent from C:, then use this command to install on D:

    AeXNSC.exe  -s -a ns="SERVERNAME.blah.com" PATH="D:\Program Files\Altiris\" /NOADDREMOVE /s

I have 21 servers configured this way.

Oops, sorry, I misunderstood.  Most people don't want huge C: drives :)

Search your registry for "D:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\" references.
