    Posted Feb 23, 2011 09:55 PM

I'm trying to Install "Software update plug-in" for a Red Hat server but keeps failing and here is the output of task log file:

    /opt/altiris/notification/nsagent/var/swd/{6833A84C-FEE9-437F-8216-AA76E0BB5D08}/swd-install.0.output.log)

Detected OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

    Rhn client tools v0.4.20 installed.

Checking if rhn client configured to use  RHN Server...

up2date configured to use another RHN Server: xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com

    Any help please?

    Hi,

Can you please check that you have entered correct credentials for RHN? Try to delete current credentials and re-enter credentials once more. This error usually appears when credentials are empty or incorrect.

    Thanks

    Alex.

Another thing that can help to resolve this issue (if credentials are correct) is to re-save Update Agent discovery task. Try to edit some settings in Update Agent discovery task, then save it and try to execute on client machine where you experienced the problem.
