This is one of the weirdest issues that I have EVER SEEN!
I am importing via, Connector Solution, Companies into the Asset Management Solution (AMS).
Strangely, one of the companies is called "AMS Finders" and the Connector Solution says that the Resource has been created, but when you go to find it via Resource Manager or via the Company Organisational Type, it does not exist. The Connector Log says that it is created, but when you click the link for the "AMS Finders" company, the Resource Manager says that the Resource does not exist.
Furthermore, when I try creating the company manually, the screen says, "Changes have been saved", but when you try to look at it in the Company Organisational Types, it is not there! The only clue to the fact that the Cmpany has not been created is that the Company name and the other details are still in the dialog after the "Changes have been saved" message.
I have tried creating the following companies:
AMS
AMS Finders
AMS <Anything>
However, If I try to create these companies (or any others):
AM
AMSD
SAMS
A M S Finders
all of these create and work OK!
Then I realised that the solution for this is called AMS (Asset Management Solution)!
DOES AMS NOT LIKE IT'S OWN NAME?
This is a bug on SO MANY levels - Why can I create a company and the Connector Solution (and the Create Resource screen) that aren't created? Why does AMS not like it's own name!
I have tried this on two AMS Servers (my campany's and my own) and I get the same behaviour.
