Hello, all, I have a few RedHat 5 servers and workstations that I have to now install Antivirus on.  I have it installed fine but my question is, but my servers are not on a public LAN, it is private with no access to the internet.  What file (and where do I get it) do I use to update the virus defs, and where do I put it?

I am getting the .rpms from From disk 2 of Symantec Endpoint Protection ver 11.

    Thank you,
    timgerr

Thank you for the information, where do I put this file or how do I execure it?  I am unable to execute it with root like this ./20091013-002.unix.sh

The file can reside anywhere on the file system, pretty much.  You should need only run it as root, but be sure the name is being typed correctly :)  Should be ./20091013-002-unix.sh.

Also, uncompress and uudecode need to be installed (sharutils).

    You can also configure LUA

Title: 'Configuring Symantec Antivirus for Linux (SAVFL) to download definitions from the Distribution Center of an internal LiveUpdate Administrator (LUA) 2.x Server'
    Document ID: 2009041712553748

The .sh file is a one-time, stand alone updater.  You may need to employ LUA for a long term solution.
