  • 1.  Any log files after cloning disk to disk?

    Posted Aug 03, 2017 11:04 PM

My customer ask me don't use ghost to dupicate the disks today. If I do so, he must know that even I am using which version of ghost!!!

But I want to do so because using ghost is faster and more efficient.

I want to know is that true?

Is there any log files or registy or stamp files created by ghost after I do a disk to disk action?

    I wonder, please help

    Eddie,

See the below article on using the -finger switch. This should prove which version of ghost was ran on the machine to deploy the image as ghost puts a fingerprint on all harddrives that it touches.

    Eddie,

Not unless you want to format the disc and remove all data.

Unless someone knows how to use the -finger switch they will not find the fingerprint on the drive from ghost.
