Endpoint Protection

I just saw that MP1 was released a few days ago which kinda stinks because i just deployed my SEPM 14 server about two weeks ago and now I need to update it.

Has anyone performed this upgrade from 14 to 14MP1 yet and if so did you run into any issues or problems during the upgrade? The documenation availabe that Ive seen mostly seems to deal with 12 to 14 upgrades. I havent seen anything for 14 to 14.1.

The steps as i see them are

1. Backup the console and DB

2. Stop sepm service

3. Install SEPM14.1 over current SEPM14 install.

4. Once the update is complete then I can update clients at my leisure.

I just want to make sure im not going to blow up my SEPM install or mess with my clients.

Just did it yesterday (same steps above) and it was quick eaasy. No issues.

MP1 fixed some serious issues so it's best to get it done.

Can you share what issues you were seeing? Granted I only have a small selection of about 10 computers on SEP 14 but so far its been pretty good.

Does MP1 also support  SuSE Linux Enterprise (server /Desktop) version 12,  Kindly clarify.

yes we have gone for upgrade from sep mp6 to sep 14 mp1

we ran into issues where we were not able to see graph and clients not communicating to sepm until we connect it automatically 

so we have loggd the case to symantec and they asked us to run the MCSW again where the MSCW rolls back to the database credintial page again and again.

then syamntec asked to roll back to previos version, yet they dont know the reason and wanted to re create the issue so that advanced level team can check for exact issue.
