Trying to make an image of a Windows 8.1 system. A few seconds into the process, Ghost gives me an Application error 31002 "Unable to access Linux partition 5"

    GhostCast server version 12.0.0.10520

Is your Windows 8.1 system running on a hard disk that has a Linux boot manager or a Linux partition?  Are you imaging the entire hard disk or a specific partition?

No -- the only thing that's on it is Windows 8.1. This is a brand new, clean installation of Windows. I'm attempting to create an image of the entire disk.

Is this a vendor installation, for example a Lenovo machine?  I know that IBM/Lenovo use a boot manager that is Linux based. The boot manager is used for things like recovery of the boot partition and also for running the maintenance utilities including the bios setup.  It's not unusual to find vendor setups have two or three hidden partitions.

Might be worth running Diskpart from an elevated command window on your machine and viewing all the partitions, including the hidden ones.

Hey Ed. I actually had just ran DiskPart and found a random 16GB recovery partition. I deleted this superfluous partition and am able to create an image from this computer.
